On July 8 – 9, 2025, Central Philippine University (CPU), through its flagship outreach initiative – Project ETC (Education, Technology and Community) – successfully delivered and turned over one month’s worth of feeding supplies to its adopted schools in Iloilo Province.

In an impressive demonstration of community involvement and solidarity, the CPU Republic and its Local Government Units, led by the Ministry of External Affairs Senator Reizia Chleo B. Anaud and College of Education Representative John Roemm G. Carreon, have successfully carried out the inaugural Tabang Gikan for the victims of the June 30, 2024, fire incident in Brgy. Ma. Christiana, Iloilo City.

The Central Philippine University (CPU) Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities recently conducted an empowering outreach program for Senior High School students in Dingle, culminating in the turnover of outdoor concrete study tables and chairs alongside a lecture on the prevention and risks of teenage pregnancy. The event took place on Friday, April 19, and left a lasting impact on the students and community.

Under the sterling leadership of the acting chair of CPU Outreach Programs, Prof. Sarex Dalida Pidol, Jr., the Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities (DLMCH) carried out a substantial turn-over of outdoor concrete study tables and chairs, books, five Acer computer monitors, clothes, and other remarkable items on April 19, 2024, in Dingle, Iloilo.

Last December 6, 2023 the College of Arts and Sciences of Central Philippine University established a mini-library in Iwa-Macatol Elementary School, located in Brgy. Macatol, Pototan, Iloilo. The activity was in response to the letter of School Principal Ms. Sheree B. Biarneza. According to her, the school has a poor academic performance, some students are non-readers due to lack of instructional materials.

On April 5, 2023, the Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center provided its support to the College of Business and Accountancy for the Project Green Thumb and Financial Literacy Program - PISOWAIS, held at the Anawim Community in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan.

The CPU-Rotary Club of Jaro Centraline (CPU RCJC) held a turnover ceremony for their Hand Washing Project on Feb. 28, 2023 at 10 to 11 in the morning at Pandac Elementary School (PES), Brgy. Pandac, Pavia Iloilo.
