On July 15, 2025, Greenpeace Philippines, together with local volunteers in Iloilo, organized a public forum at LS Café, Iloilo City. The event, dubbed ‘The Climate Crisis and Role of Community Response: A Learning Session on Localized Climate Impacts,’ brought together members of civil society, local governments, environmental groups, and academic institutions, including the CPU Outreach Student Volunteers Society (CPU-OSVS) who committed to the initiative.

On July 7, 2025, the 3-day seminar training in volunteerism and the Brigada Pagbasa Initiative commenced at the University Library.

Last May 17, 2025, students from the College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) of Central Philippine University stepped out of the classroom and into the community with a mission: to fight parasitism and promote hygiene and nutrition among children.

On March 21, 2025, a transformative outreach event titled “Empowering Young Children Through Reading and Learning Essentials” occurred at Uswag Elementary School in San Isidro, Jaro, Iloilo City. This event was initiated by the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) students of Central Philippine University (CPU), aiming to promote literacy and provide essential learning tools for the young learners in the community.

The Gender-Responsive Rug-Making Training and Seminar: A Livelihood Initiative for Community Development held in Barangay Culasi, Ajuy was the proponent of Prof. Cherrylyn M. BECED Gems, a newly recognized student organization of the Early Childhood Program of the College of Education, facilitated a two-phase parent education to identified participants of Uswag San Isidro Elementary School in Jaro, Iloilo City. The first phase was conducted on November 22, 2024.

The MathSciFil Dynasty, led by Mayor Kynt Nathaniel Tambuson and supported by the College of Education at Central Philippine University (CPU), organized an engaging outreach event at USWAG San Isidro Elementary School. This initiative, called the MSF Olympics, aimed to transform education through gamified learning, engaging Grade 4 students in interactive activities covering Mathematics, Science, and Filipino subjects.

The year 2024 officially launched the University’s first outreach week, where various activities were conducted from December 2 to 6 by different units, colleges, and organizations, with most recipients coming from the adopted communities of CPU. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to organize and participate in various extension works and community engagement activities for that week.

On December 6, 2024, the Central Philippine University – Guidance Services Center (CPU GSC) celebrated its annual SEAL Outreach Program anchored on its theme, “Spread Love on Christmas Day.” The celebration took place at the Judith Lazarraga Tiongco Memorial School in Tabuc Suba, Jaro, Iloilo City, catering to a total of 100 beneficiaries composed of students and teachers.

Last November 29, 2024, the Department of Languages, Mass Communication, and Humanities, through the CPU Communication Circle, in partnership with the Guidance Services Center, Alpha Phi Omega Zeta Omicron Chapter, and the CPU Psychological Society, held a half-day outreach program at Culasi National High School, Ajuy, Iloilo.

Central Philippine University’s School of Graduate Studies – Master of Arts in Nursing Program, together with the College of Nursing, KABALAKA Reproductive Health Center and Birthing Center held an Outreach Activity to 206 learners of Binaba-an National High School in Lambunao, Iloilo, together with their parents.

On May 27, 2024, Central Philippine University was one of the chosen universities in Iloilo and Region 6 to present the extension processes, programs, and highlights. The online event aligned with the 30th founding anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education—Region 6. The other selected universities were the University of St. La Salle Bacolod and John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, represented by Teresita G. Barcoma and Dr. Melchor M. Magramo, respectively.

Central Philippine University’s College of Business and Accountancy (CPU-CBA) demonstrated its commitment to education and community empowerment through its recent outreach program held in Concepcion, Iloilo. On March 8, 2024, CPU-CBA organized a series of activities aimed at educating and empowering students from Roberto H. Tirol High School and Lo-ong National High School.

Prof. Kerwin Luntao, DLMCH Outreach Coordinator, and Prof. Sarex Dipol, CPU Outreach Program and Service Learning OIC-Director, spearheaded a book donation drive and an instructional material literacy outreach program in Barangay Nazuni, Dingle, on November 24th. The aim was to promote literacy and provide educational resources to students at Nazuni Elementary School and Nazuni Summit Comprehensive National High School.

On April 5, 2023, the Community Engagement and Service-Learning Center provided its support to the College of Business and Accountancy for the Project Green Thumb and Financial Literacy Program - PISOWAIS, held at the Anawim Community in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan.

The Province of Arts and Sciences Student Council, in partnership with the Association of Political Science and Public Administration – CPU, College of Arts and Sciences and Land Transportation Office Region VI, conducted a 2-Day, Free 15-hour Theoretical Driving Course in Central Philippine University on February 16-17, 2023, at the Rose Memorial Auditorium.
