Project SIGLA: Suporta sa Isip, Gawa, at Lapis ng mga Anak, a community outreach initiative led by the Engineering Student Council – College of Engineering, was conducted on May 29–30, 2025, in the humble community of Bito-on, Jaro, Iloilo.

Last May 17, 2025, students from the College of Medical Laboratory Science (CMLS) of Central Philippine University stepped out of the classroom and into the community with a mission: to fight parasitism and promote hygiene and nutrition among children.

On March 7, 2025, the College of Computer Studies Provincial Council took a meaningful step beyond the walls of Central Philippine University—bringing smiles, support, and a sense of hope to the students of Iloilo River Plains Integrated School.

On March 21, 2025, a transformative outreach event titled “Empowering Young Children Through Reading and Learning Essentials” occurred at Uswag Elementary School in San Isidro, Jaro, Iloilo City. This event was initiated by the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) students of Central Philippine University (CPU), aiming to promote literacy and provide essential learning tools for the young learners in the community.

On December 11-12, 2024, the CPU Project ETC, in partnership with local schools, successfully conducted a distribution of monthly food supplies, uniforms, bags, and supplies to students at Tapikan Elementary School (ES) in Brgy. Tapikan, San Joaquin, Iloilo and Zaragosa (ES) in Brgy. Zaragosa, Balasan, Iloilo.

The year 2024 officially launched the University’s first outreach week, where various activities were conducted from December 2 to 6 by different units, colleges, and organizations, with most recipients coming from the adopted communities of CPU. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to organize and participate in various extension works and community engagement activities for that week.

During the months of September and October, Project ETC has diligently engaged in delivering food and school supplies to the students of Tapikan Elementary School in San Joaquin, Iloilo, as well as Zaragosa Elementary School in Balasan, Iloilo.

June 23, 2024 — In a remarkable display of community engagement and support, the CPU Republic and its Local Government Units, spearheaded by the Ministry of External Affairs Senator Reizia Chleo B. Anaud and College of Education Representative John Roemm G. Carreon, has achieved the first Tabang Gikan for the victims affected by the fire incident on June 17, 2024, at Brgy. Tanza Bonifacio and Brgy. Rizal Estanzuela, City Proper, Iloilo City.

Central Philippine University, in partnership with Project ETC, conducted a meaningful visit to Tapikan Elementary School in Brgy. Tapikan, San Joaquin, Iloilo on February 12, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to provide the students with feeding supplies for February, distribute hygiene kits, snacks, and impart valuable life lessons to 180 students.

Last February 9, 2024, the Central Philippine University Republic Ministry of External Affairs, led by Senator Ralph Belle D. Gonzales, conducted an outreach program at Ulayan Elementary School in Brgy. Ulayan, Calinog, Iloilo. The initiative aimed to empower young minds through educational materials, engaging activities, and a commitment to long-term support.

In a heartwarming display of community support and dedication to education, Project ETC, in partnership with Central Philippine University, organized a distribution event on December 11, 2023, at Zaragosa Elementary School in Balasan, Iloilo, and on December 12, 2023, at Tapikan Elementary School in San Joaquin, Iloilo.

On March 19, 2023, the Rotary Club of Jaro Centraline distributed wheelchairs to 5 selected beneficiaries; courtesy of District 3850 with the Rotary Year theme: “Imagine Rotary.”

A school supply distribution outreach was done at Ulayan Elementary School in Calinog, Iloilo, on February 18, 2023. This event was planned and put on by the Dr. Lucio C. Tan College of Hospitality Management Student Council, which worked with PASSC and CARESSC.

Project ETC in partnership with CPU Community Engagement and Service Learning Program (CESLP) conducted food distributions outreach on the following schedule and recipients – on February 7, 2023 at Zaragosa Elementary School, Brgy. Zaragosa, Balasan, Iloilo; February 9, 2023 (AM) at Tapikan Elementary School, Brgy. Tapikan, San Joaquin, Iloilo and in the afternoon at Agsirab Elementary School, Brgy. Agsirab, Lambunao, Iloilo.
